The project involves the interior design and construction works of an existing building at one of the busiest financial districts in Istanbul. The low ceilings in the building created a dark and gloomy atmosphere. To eliminate this negative impact, the architects offered to partially open the slab between the ground and first floors. Finally a space was created where natural elements such as light and plants harmonize with architectural elements such as the pyramidal skylights, the bridge and the stairs. For the main spiral staircase of the bank, a sculptural but light appearance was created. The spiral form provided the sculptural effect while the minimality of the structural elements produced the lightness.
